Man Accused Of Stealing $405 In Merchandise From Lowe's In Northern Westchester

A 74-year-old Westchester man is facing charges after allegedly stealing more than $400 in merchandise from a Lowe’s store in Yorktown Heights, police said.

Officers from the Yorktown Police Department received a report at approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, of a larceny at Lowes on Crompond Road.

According to police, the responding officer met with a Loss Prevention Associate who alleged that Granite Springs resident Dominick Lieto stole items with a value of $405.79, which an investigation later confirmed.

Police said that the officer tracked down Lieto outside a Granite Springs home and he was placed under arrest and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Following his processing, Lieto was released and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Sept. 5 to respond to the charge.
